We know it's been a long time since we last posted here, but we are still working to add new features to Novlet: the first of the list is the new set of message boards, which should allow all of us to communicate more easily and share ideas and thoughts.
We are writing now, however, to introduce a minor update to the application that might interest some of you. When we first designed Novlet, we spent some time considering whether we should permit all users to modify existing passages.
We thought that, since Novlet is all about collaboration, by encouraging users to fix minor issues such as spelling typos and grammatical imperfections we would help improve the overall quality of the content created by the Novlet community.
We are still of this opinion, but since some of our authors became unsatisfied with the modifications made by some others, we have reconsidered this aspect. After some thinking, we decided to give authors the possibility to choose who should be granted the permission to modify their passages: everyone or just their friends (people who usually they trust).
You can set those permissions for the passages you wrote by clicking on a link in the "Passage info" box on the right.
