Falling For My Best Friend's Sister {8}

Sam's POV:

Today was the most painfullest day ever, physically and emotionally. I had gone to the bathroom and when I opened the door it hit something and the door closed right on my fingers. I quickly went over to the sink and rinsed it in cold water, but it didn't help. So, I went to the nurse. When I got there, I saw Kassie there, I wonder what's wrong with her. Her friend Lucky and the emo guy was there with her. They were both staring at me, as I walked past her bed and to another bed.

"Uh, hi?" I said to them. But, they just turned around and continued talking.

"So, does it hurt?" Lucky asked her.

"Of course it hurts!" the emo guy answered for her.

"Well, I was just asking."

"Guys, I'm fine, seriously. It's not like I'm gonna die or anything." she said.

"Don't talk like that; it could happen!" she really shouldn't talk like that, something might happen to her.

"Who dies from a nosebleed?" I quickly realized something, was she the one that I hit?

"Well, there was this one kid that did."

"Ok, that doesn't really make me feel any better."

A few seconds later, the door flew open again and Danny rushed in.

"I heard what happened!" he said.

"You and everyone else." I heard her mutter.

"Are you hurt badly? Is it still bleeding?!"

"Danny, calm down! I'm fine. Why do you all get so worked up over a little accident?"

"Because we care about you." the guy answered. He put his hand on Kassie and she smiled at him.

Danny noticed and looked angry, he wasn't the only one.

"So, um, where's the band aid?" he asked.

"Right here." he said, holding it up.

"I'll put it on for her." Danny was about to take it, but he pulled it back.

"No way, I'm doin' it." he said.

"Why should you do it?" Danny asked him.

"'Cause I was here first."

"I was born first!"

"Well, I'm her friend!"

"Well, I love her!"

The two of them looked like they were gonna continue fighting, but Kassie stopped them.

"Guys!" she shouted.

"Sorry." they both said together.

"Hey, Sam, why are you here?" Danny asked me.

"Oh, I just hurt my hand." I answered.

"You should put some ice on that."

Danny handed me an ice pack and I put in on my hand, it hurt like hell.

"Hey, I have to go back to class, I gotta take some test." Danny said.

"See ya." Kassie said to him.

"Be good and don't get hurt anymore." Danny kissed her cheek, before walking out the door.

"Hey, can you go see where the nurse is?" Mike asked Lucky.

"Uh, sure." she said.

After Lucky left, I saw him smile at her.

"Great, we're alone again." he said.

"Not entirely." she replied.

The guy bandaged her nose, then held her hand and kissed it. I didn't like seeing this, so I cleared my throat. When they looked over to me, I looked away and started whistling. Then I saw the guy brush her hair back, I cleared my throat again and coughed.

"We heard you the first time!" he said to me.

"What did I say?" I asked.

"Anyone could hear your cackling from a mile away!"

The door opened again and the nurse came in.

"Sorry, I was out." she said.

Kassie got off the bed and stood in front of her.

"Ok, so what's your problem?" she asked.

"I got hurt and my nose started bleeding." Kassie answered.

"Ok, who put the bandage on?"

"Me." she looked at the emo guy.

"Well, you're gonna have to take it off again." she continued.

"Why?" Kassie asked.

"You need to put a medicine on it to stop the bleeding."

The nurse just pulled the bandage off her nose, then put something on it and slapped another bandage on it. It looked really painful. She then walked over to me.

"Ok, you can go. Now, it's your turn." the lady said to me.

Both of them left and I gulped. I wondered what'd she do to me, then I got my answer. She grabbed my hand and put underneath a sink, she turned on the water. It was freakin' hot! My hand was like getting totally burned.

"Ahhh!" I screamed.

"Oops, wrong faucet." was all she said.

The nurse then turned on the cold water, she kept my hand there for a while and then said, "Ok, you can go now."

I just washed my hand, was the point in doing that? That lady is crazy! Instead of fixing her patients, I think she makes them feel worser. No wonder, there was no one here today. I couldn't help thinking it was my fault that Kassie was hurt. It totally is. I didn't mean to, but I just feel like I'm to blame. I should apologize to her, but what if she gets mad at me for hitting her. I can't risk her being mad at me, maybe I'll tell her one day, just not this soon.
