Wow! I can’t believe that our parents let us come on this trip without them tagging along! This is going to be the best vacation ever! Tommy Cub cried out as he looked at the view from their hotel room window. And down towards the river island beach front
Yah I never thought that in a million years they’d agree on letting us come either Sammy Turtle agreed laughing
I kina feel bad for Miss Brisk I bet that after our class starts running round the island in all different directions. She’s going to wish that she never volunteered to be our guardian on this trip! Daisy Penguin added
Puppy picked up the tourist book that was lying on the table and asked
Okay you guys what are we going to do first? Some deep sea diving or some sightseeing?
And after talking it over for a few more minutes the gang decided that the weather was just too nice and decided to go diving instead of just walking round and getting all sweaty
A few minutes later they were picking up their diving gear and waiting to board the boat Shark Head to drop them off by the island reef
Okay kids we’ll only be out here for an hour so be careful out there these waters are known to have a
shark or two in them. And one more thing use wise choices while you’re here a curse has fallen upon the island many tourist have disappeared in the last few weeks the boat captain warned them
Curse? Sammy muttered. And before the captain could answer him Tommy grabbed Sammy by the shoulder and whispered over to him
Dude relax there’s no such thing as curses he’s only trying to scare you
I wouldn’t be so sure of that little one the captain answered and walked away before the gang had a chance to ask him what he meant by that
Soon afterwards they were exploring the reef and all the different kind of fishes in them. Puppy was following a group of star fish when he spotted something shining on the ocean floor. he popped his head out of the water to show the rest of the gang what he found when he noticed that the captain was waving and yelling at them from the boat
I wonder what he’s so excited bout he thought to himself. he was about to wave back when he spotted a fin slicing through the water. A shark was heading straight towards her
Puppy look out! Don’t try to swim just stay perfectly still! Vicky Dragonfly yelled out
Without thinking Puppy held up the stone that he found high in the air. The shark eyes widen with fear before it did a U-turn and swam quickly away in the other direction
Oh wow! How did you do that? Sammy asked her once they were back on the boat
I don’t know I just held up this stone that I found on the bottom of the ocean and it just swam away Puppy shrugged
Wow! That must be some stone to make a shark back off like that. Can I see it? Tommy asked. She was about to hand it him when she suddenly dropped it on the floor then licked her paw
What’s the matter? Vicky asked
I don’t know I went to give the stone to Tommy when it suddenly got really hot and burnt my paw Puppy answered. he was going to pick it up again when the captain suddenly cried out
Don’t touch that!
Huh? Why not? Puppy asked
You mustn’t tell no one of what you found the captain stated and as soon as you kids get back to shore you must go and see professor witch marker and only show him what you found then walked away mumbling to himself
That was one very strange dude Tommy told them once they got off the boat. They quickly went back to their hotel rooms and changed then headed back to find the professor place
Hey check it out Vicky said pointing to a big sign that was posted over a straw hut looking front door

They turned around and noticed an old owl wearing a black robe standing by the door way frowning at them
Oh umm hi we were looking for the professor you see we went diving this morning and I found this stone in the bottom of the ocean. And the captain of our boat told us to come here and show it to you Puppy explained
I see show me what you found the owl answered. Puppy opened the towel he placed the stone in and handed it to him
The weird thing is that when I held it up to a shark who was about to attack me it just---
Wait here the owl interrupted then disappeared a few seconds later he returned carrying a big book. He flipped through the pages then showed it to them
What you found my crew and I have been searching for a very long time. This stone belongs to a great warrior mask legend has it that whoever owns the mask will have extreme powers and unlimited riches
Oh wow! Puppy looks like you found a gold mine you’re going to be rich! Tommy laughed
Do you know if this stone has anything to do with the curse? Puppy asked
Where did you kids hear about that silly rumor from? The owl asked
From the boat captain he told us all bout it Sammy answered him
I see well you kids shouldn’t believe in all those silly rumors you may hear on this island. But some say since pieces of the golden mask were stolen the spirits of the great warrior who once own and ruled over this island has cursed it. Until all that was stolen is returned the owl explained
Oh so now that you’ve the stone you can go and put it back and hopefully the curse will be lift Puppy shrugged
Sorry but I can’t do that
Huh? Why not? I gave it back so why can’t you return it? Puppy frowned
Cause I’m not the one who found it only the soul who finds it can place it back the owl answered
Oh that’s umm I guess fair where is this scared mask at any way Daisy added
In the island of golden fires you kids must go there now and I must return back to my research the owl said then walked out of the room before any of the gang could answer him
A few minutes later they were off again
Is it me or is every one on this island just a little nutty Tommy asked. Puppy was about to answer him when a rumbling sound interrupted her
What was that? Sammy asked
I don’t know but I say we go and find out Daisy answered him. They followed the noise to the entrance of an old looking cave
Hey check it out isn’t that weird professor? What is he doing here Tommy frowned
I don’t know but I say we follow him I knew that he was hiding something from us Vicky answered. They decided to hide behind some bushes just close enough. So they could hear what the professor was saying to his friend
Very well done Fred now remember we must keep all outsiders far away from this entrance until we all set up
No problem professor are you sure this is going to work? Do you really think that they’ll show up? Fred asked them
No doubt they’ll Freddy my boy the professor smirked then they both disappeared inside the cave
They quickly followed them to the end of the cave
Oh wow! Check it out! Tommy cried out a little bit too loudly as he pointed to some painting on the cave wall
Hey did you hear something Fred asked the professor
No now stop wasting time! He scowled
The gang just looked at each other with confused looks on their faces
Whoa! That was a close call Sammy whispered
Yah and a weird one all at the same time I could’ve swore that they were staring at us. It was like we were invisible to them or something Daisy added
Hey Puppy is it me or is your stone suddenly glowing? Vicky asked her
Yah it seems to be shining on that part of the wall Puppy answered as he went over to touch it. he pressed his paw against the spot and went right through it
Whoa Puppy! Look what you found Tommy whistled. he had fallen through a trap door inside the secret room was full of golden coins and other treasures
Oh wow! Where did all this come from? he asked
Oh thank you very much you kids did exactly what I was hoping that you’d. You lead me to the treasure and now as Fred and I empty this room out we’ll lock you kids in here and simply disappear off this island without any one having any clue of what happened the professor laughed
What! But we came to you for help you’re never going to get away with this Puppy barked
Silence! Now if you don’t mind place the stone on the mask and don’t try any funny stuff. Fred grab the bags the professor ordered
If you want to put it back so badly then why don’t you do it yourself! Puppy yelled as he picked up the
stone and threw at him as hard as he could. Hitting him right in the middle of his forehead knocking him out cold
Oh wow! That was a heck of a throw way to go! Fred laughed

Maybe I should explain I’m uncover cop my office has been building a case against the good old professor for a while. He has been secretly stealing accident treasures off the island and reselling them at a higher price. But we never could prove it until now Fred explained
Wow so now that everything is back do u think the curse will be lifted Vicky asked
I myself don’t believe in curses but to the old folks who live on this island and are true believers. I hope so for their sakes Fred shrugged
An hour later the captain walked up to the gang and said
Thank you kids’ cause of you the island is safe again
Well I’m glad that we were here to help out Puppy smiled
Yah now we can start having some real fun and a cursed free real vacation! Tommy laughed
